Shell receives funds to begin Quest CCS project in Alberta.

The Albertan and Canadian governments have signed agreements with the Anglo-Dutch oil major to provide $865MM for the Quest CSS (carbon capture and storage) project. Royal Dutch Shell said that once Quest is operational, it will capture and store over 1MM mt/y of CO2 from Shell's Scotford Upgrader located in Edmonton, AB.
