The admittance of a parallelminus;plate capacitor immersed in a warm collisional electronminus;ion magnetoplasma is studied both experimentally and theoretically. Particular attention is given to the admittance behavior near the lowerminus;hybrid resonance. It is shown that this resonance can be identified experimentally, and therefore that admittance measurements can be used to measure the ion plasma frequency directly, in magnetoplasmas containing one predominant ion species.
