Heydar Aliyev refinery in Azerbaijan to hold throughput steady this year

SOCAR Vice President David Mammadov told reporters on April 24 that the company plans to process about 6.10MM mt(122.51K b/d)of crude at its 6.00MM-mt/y(120.50K-b/d)Heydar Aliyev refinery in Azerbaijan this year,almost identical to die 6.14MM mt(123.32K b/d)of crude it processed at the plant last year.He added that SOCAR would halt production at the refinery for routine maintenance for one month in Oct.,and the country would import gasoline during that period.Routine maintenance was also conducted last year at Heydar Aliyev.The refinery produced 350.00K mt(2.97MM bbl)of gasoline in 1Q,as local gasoline demand grew by 3 from 1Q 2018 levels.
