Hepatic Arteriography in Cirrhosis of the Liver and Portal HypertensionCorrelation between Angiographic and Functional Data
Combined hemodynamic, functional, and angiographic studies were performed in 44 patients with cirrhosis of the liver. A statistically significant correlation (p equals; 0.02) was found between liver function as measured by galactose elimination capacity (GEC) and arterial perfusion of the liver. These data suggest a relationship between the amount of functioning liver parenchyma and the degree of arterial vascular supply.
