Coherent elimination of isotropic scattering invariants in coherent Raman and hyperhyphen;Raman spectroscopy

In both spontaneous Raman and Hyperhyphen;Raman scattering from isotropic systems, scattering due to one of the spherical tensor invariants cannot be eliminated. It is shown that these invariants can be eliminated through use of an appropriate experimental geometry in coherent Raman and hyperhyphen;Raman scattering. Applications of this technique are presented.
