We argue that the slowly decaying discrepancies between certain solutions of the Fokkerndash;Planck and diffusion equations for Brownian motion, found recently by Harris lsqb;J. C. P.75, 3037 (1981)rsqb; cannot be ascribed to persistent nondiffusive behavior. Rather, they are surviving memories of a short, initial, nondiffusive stage. (AIP)
