摘要

Polymer thermodynamics is described by the onehyphen;dimensional twohyphen;component Ising model (in an external field) which includes a Coulomb attraction. No assumptions are made about the component sequence. An arbitrary thermodynamic quantity is related to three particular distribution functions over the sequence composition. The experimental investigation of the dependence of thermodynamic quantities on the temperature and other independent variables is shown to reflect the sequence distribution function. A strong enough effective interaction results in a phase transition. The phase transition singularity can be either of finite order or of essential singularity type and depends on the sequence structure.
