Mexican Pemex to boost refining, cut gasoline imports by 2016.

THE STATE- OWNED oil producer and refiner plans to slash gasoline imports by 8 from 2012-2016 with the help of a new refinery and the expansion of another. By 2016 Pemex expects its gasoline import reliance to fall to 38 of domestic demand from over 40 currently. Mexico imported 422.4K b/d of motor fuel in April, the highest rate so far in 2011.
