摘要

Absorption coefficients of N2O in the region 1080ndash;2100A have been measured. Four continua were observed with maxima at 1820, 1450, 1285, and 1080A havingfvalues of 0.0015, 0.0211, 0.367, and 0.1, respectively. The strongest absorption band in the ultraviolet lies at 1178A with an absorption coefficient of 3010 cmminus;1at its maximum. A number of new bands were observed, and some of them classified. Some of the continua have been interpreted in terms of possible dissociation processes, and a potential energy diagram is presented.
