Helium(I) photoelectron spectra and far uv spectra of R3B, R2BF, R2BNR2, and R2CCR2(Requals;CH3) are assigned. Subtracting uv excitation energies from corresponding ground state ionization potentials lead to term values that compare favorably with pgr;rarr;pgr;* and pgr;rarr;sgr;* states of the olefin. Some term values can be satisfactorily calculated using the Rydberg series formula.
