The 310K-b/d Baiji facility is sometimes referred to as a refinery that includes the 70K-b/d Salahaddin 1 and 2 CDUs and sometimes as a complex that includes two 70K-b/d refineries known as Salah al-Din 1 and 2.The second of the 70K-b/d plants was restarted in Sept.,and the Oil Ministry had targeted the restart of the first plant as well as hydrogen and gasoline units this spring.The facility was damaged and taken offline after Islamic State militants seized it in 2014.
