If the peak power level of a signal enters into the nonlinear region of a power amplifier, the output signal is distorted and its spectrum spreads into out-of-band. To solve this problem, it is effective to reduce peak power level of the input signal. In this paper, we investigated effect of transmit power control (TPC) on the peak power level of CDM signals. The peak power was reduced and the out-of-band radiation was improved by TPC. Also, fast control of the transmit power has never increased the probabilities of low instantaneous SNR, while keeping the peak power level low.
