SmartMarine for the smarter user

Intergraph Corp has introduced SmartMarine 3D, its next-generation software aiming to streamline design processes, resulting in lower costs and faster delivery for the shipbuilding and offshore industries. The announcement was made in conjunction with the 13th International Conference on Computer Applications in Shipbuilding, ICCAS 2007, in Portsmouth, United Kingdom. Previously known as IntelliShip, SmartMarine is said to offer improved modelling, detailing, and manufacturing capability for offshore devices and ships. SmartMarine provides a multidiscipline, integrated design environment that reduces costs and shortens project schedules for shipbuilders and offshore design firms alike. It couples engineering, automatic drawings generation, production planning, and manufacturing.
