The spectroscopic constants for Xendash;HF obtained from molecular beam electric resonance spectroscopy are as follows: thinsp; thinsp; The structure and weak bond force constants derived from the spectroscopic constants are consistent with data on other noble gasndash;hydrogen fluoride complexes. It is found that the electric field gradient at the Xe nucleus for a given HF orientation scales with the electric field gradient arising from HF.
