Severe flooding due to heavy rains in recent weeks has disrupted ethanol production and transportation in die US Midwest,but the impacts are more far-reaching.Ethanol traders complained of intermittent shortages,saying that 13-15 of midwestern production was down.Ethanol futures have fallen to around $1.30/gal in early April from the mid-March surge to over $1.42/gal,but refinery outages in California have kept a choke-hold on gasoline supplies in the West Coast.
