Microwave transitions have been observed for the four naturally abundant AgBr species at about 850°C. The pure rotational spectra of molecules in several vibrational states have been obtained. The internuclear distance isre= 2.392212±0.000004 Å. Quadrupole hyperfine splittings due to the79Br and81Br nuclei give coupling constantseqQof 307 and 257±20 Mc/sec, respectively. The molecular constants for107Ag79Br are found to beBe= 1943.687±0.003 Mc/sec, agr;e= 7.0742±0.0050 Mc/sec, ggr;e= 5.02±0.45 kc/sec,De= 0.53±0.13 kc/sec. Values are given for the remaining three isotopic combinations.
