Rates for collisionhyphen;induced transfer between a single rotational level (Nprime;=40,Jprime;=41) and other individual rotational levels within the ugr;prime;=4 vibrational level ofBthinsp;3Sgr;minus;udiatomic sulfur are reported. TheS2was excited into theBstate by the radiation from an atomic Zn lamp, and rotationally resolved fluorescence measurements were used to determine the rates for the collision partners He, Ar, and Xe.
