摘要

Mechanical properties and microstructure of metal matrixcomposites (MMC's) base aluminum and reinforced with Ni_3Alintermetallics are evaluated in this work. The processing of thesematerials is conventional powder metallurgy (P-M) followed by hotextrusion. Two different intermetallics, with the same chemicalcomposition were used: one obtained through mechanical alloying(using a high energy attrition mill) and other obtained through rapidsolidification technology (gas atoming).
