In the past, I took roles as an editing manager and a director in the Korean Society of Environmental Engineers, making significant contributions towards agreements on mutual interchange with the Japan Society on Water Environment. Since then, I have been an active participant in annual conferences and have taken time to discuss sensitive environmental issues. When I attended meetings, I used to take time to encourage Korean students studying in Japan. Through these experiences, I had the opportunity to meet Japanese scholars and share information on prevailing research initiatives and technical development.
