Crude exports from the US last year were up by 800K b/d from the 1.2MM b/d in average crude exports the US reported in 2017 due to rising US crude production over 2018 and die installation of new crude export infrastructure on the US Gulf Coast.Asia was the largest regional destination for US crude exports last year,followed by Europe.As in previous years,Canada was die largest single buyer of US crude,importing an average of 378K b/d,which accounted for 19 of total 2018 exports.South Korea surpassed China to become the number-two destination for US crude exports in 2018,receiving 236K b/d,with China placing third at 228K b/d,followed by the UK(164K b/d),the Netherlands(146K b/d),India(132K b/d),Italy(126K b/d),Taiwan(122K b/d),and Japan and Singapore(64K b/d each).
