Collisionhyphen;Induced Dissociations in the Mass Spectrum of Acetylene

A number of collisionhyphen;induced dissociations in the mass spectrum of acetylene are reported. The pressure dependence of these transitions was investigated in the range from 2times;10mdash;7to 3times;10mdash;6mm of Hg. Relative cross sections are given and compared with the corresponding ones for dissociation by electron impact. A metastable transition corresponding to the reaction C2H+rarr;C2++H was observed.
