The accuracy of the determination ofegr;infin;from the Colendash;Cole equations for systems which really relax by two Debye mechanisms is considered. The estimated value ofegr;infin;is shown to be too low but an empirical equation helps to formulate limits within which the true value is likely to lie. Errors incurred inegr;infin;obtained by this method probably do not seriously influence relaxation time parameters obtained by a subsequent Budoacute; analysis but approximations toegr;infin;(such asnD2) which are likely to be low may give very misleading results. Relationships between the Colendash;Cole distribution parameterlpar;agr;rpar;and mean relaxation timelpar;tgr;0rpar;and the Budoacute; parameterslpar;tgr;1, tgr;2,andC1rpar;are presented and discussed.
