The excitation and quenching of N(2P) thinsp;

摘要

The rate coefficients for quenching N(2P) by N, O, NO, CO, H2, O2, N2O, and CO2have been measured by following the decay of emission from N(2P) excited in a Tesla discharge by energy transfer from N2(Athinsp;3Sgr;+u). Some of these results differ considerably from those in the literature.
