The slow decay of NH+3and NH+2centers in ammonium sulfate produce a new, very stable, paramagnetic center that has been identified as NSO2minus;4. This center hasgvalues ofgx=2.012,gy=2.011, andgz=2.007 with the corresponding hfi constants Ax= Ay=0.0 andAz=25.2 G. No change in this center is observed on passage of the crystal through the ferroelectric phase transition.
