摘要

Monte Carlo simulations based on several rotational isomeric state models were used to generate distribution functions for the end‐to‐end separation of very shortn‐alkane chains. The unusual multimodal distributions obtained were found to be due to the reduction in the number of spatial configurations inherent in the rotational isomeric state approximation.
