摘要

Sea stars have long-captivated the public’s imagination and scientific interest, from their ability to regrow lost limbs to their fascinating shapes, colors, and feeding habits. Is it any wonder that the sex lives of sea stars are just as fascinating? Sea stars can either reproduce as separate males and females or as self-fertilizing hermaphrodites (which are smaller and produce fewer sperm and eggs).
