Lifetime of theathinsp;3Pgr;u0state of Na2in the collisionless regime was measured by the time resolved laser induced fluorescence of theathinsp;3Pgr;u0ndash;Xthinsp;1Sgr;+utransitions. For levels which have a close coincidence with theAthinsp;1Sgr;+ulevel, the observed lifetime was explained by the radiative decay induced by the mixing with the perturbingAthinsp;1Sgr;+ulevel. For other levels, it was found to be 3.0ndash;4.5 mgr;s.
