摘要

The FeKbgr; fluorescence emission spectrum was used to study the coordination of iron in myoglobin adducts. The electronic structure of oxymyoglobin can be described as an equilibrium between a singlet state with a coordinated oxygen molecule and a triplet state with a coordinated superoxide anion. Carbon monoxide myoglobin contains divalent, zero spin iron.
