abstract_textpIn recent years, binary transition metal oxides have been more and more widely applied as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) because they can enhance the electrochemical performance beyond that of single transition metal oxides. In this work, we prepare ZnFe2O4-MWCNTs composite by synthesizing ZnFe2O4 via a hydrothermal method with further heat-treatment and a final mixing of ZnFe2O4 with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The ZnFe2O4-MWCNTs composite as an anode material for LIBs demonstrates high specific capacity (908 mAh g(-1) at a current density of 100 mA g(-1) after 100 cycles) and good rate performance (566 mAh g(-1) even at current density of 750 mA g(-1) after 70 cycles). This superior electrochemical performance shows the promise of ZnFe2O4-MWCNTs composite as an alternative anode material for LIBs./p/abstract_text
