Entropies of Some Gaseous Metal Dihalides

The entropies of some gaseous metal dihalides have been derived from vapor pressure and condensedhyphen;phase entropy data where such information is available, and are compared with entropies calculated from molecular constantmdash;spectroscopic data. In some cases, the experimental entropies are appreciably higher than those calculated from molecular constants. The discrepancies could result from the use of bending frequencies which are too high.
