Costa Mesa,California-Auto motive retail sales in the US are likely to be 1.01m units in September 2019 This is a 7.8 fall compared with September 2018,according to consultants JD Power and LMC Automotive.According to Thomas King,SVP of data and analytics at JD Power,the large decline in sales this month is driven primarily by the timing of the Labor Day holiday.'Unlike most years,sales from the Labor Day holiday weekend were included in August sales reporting instead of September,'he said.A quarter of a million vehicles were sold in the US over the Labor Day weekend.
