Laser oscillations of Cdhyphen;I transitions at 1.40, 1.43, and 1.65 mgr;m based on an electronhyphen;ionhyphen;recombination pumping mechanism in a sealed discharge tube are reported. Performance characteristics of the 1.65hyphen;mgr;m transition over a range of discharge parameters in the presence of a lowhyphen;pressure heliumhyphen;gas resonator axis are discussed. Studies are reported for the first time to authorsrsquo; knowledge.
