In this paper, we determine the lifetimes of three chemical reaction resonance states by analytically continuing realhyphen;valued stabilization graphs into the complexhyphen;energy plane. Extending the method developed by Simons in 1981, we estimate the widths of the resonances by fitting the stabilization graphs to a twohyphen;branched quadratic equation whose coefficients are polynomials in the realhyphen;scaling parameter agr;. We also study what criteria affect the quality of the resonancehyphen;state lifetime and develop a systematic procedure that could be followed to determine such lifetimes.
