摘要

Measurements are made of the farhyphen;wing excitation spectra of HgN2collisional quasimolecules for the production of Hgast;(3P0) and Hgast;(3P1) in the vicinity of the Hg resonance line. It is found that theAndash;Xexcitation is by far more effective in producing Hgast;(3P0) than theBndash;Xexcitation. This is contrary to the case of boundndash;bound excitation of the HgN2van der Waals complex lsqb;C. Jouvet and B. Soep, J. Chem.
