The structural and magnetic properties of Ni_(2)MnIn films deposited onto glass substrates were investigated. Two sets of films with distinct structural orders were prepared. The films deposited at an elevated temperature (730 K) have an ordered structure and are ferromagnetic, while those deposited at a low temperature (~150 K) are quite disordered (or almost amorphous) and exhibit a nonmagnetic behavior down to 5 K. However, the disordered films can restore the ordered structure as well as the ferromagnetic behavior by annealing. The results of magnetization measurements are also presented.
