摘要

The site distribution in CdF2:Eu3+has been studied as a function of dopant concentration and annealing temperature by site selective spectroscopy. A total of 17 sites have been identified. Their behavior is very different from rare earth doped CaF2. The cubic site increases with Eu3+concentration until clusters form after which it levels off. There are no sites attributed to associated rare earthndash;Fprime;i. The anomalous behavior observed in CaF2as a function of annealing temperature and dopant concentration is not observed.
