The ultrasonic absorption measured in aqueous solutions of dextran (1ndash;6 polyanhydroglucose) as a function of molecular weight (3.4thinsp;times;thinsp;103ndash;3.7thinsp;times;thinsp;105) and frequency (3ndash;195 MHz) reveals a relaxational behavior related to the calculated viscoelastic properties of freehyphen;draining random coils.
