It is pointed out that application of the traditional rsquo;rsquo;ringhyphen;currentrsquo;rsquo; picture gives rise to qualitatively similar predictions of limiting trends in the1Hhyphen;NMR chemical shifts of large linear acenes as those based on Blustinrsquo;s recent rsquo;rsquo;pgr;hyphen;bondrsquo;rsquo; model.
