摘要

Al-SiC composites produced by explosive compaction are analysed inthe as-compacted condition. The SiC particles used as reinforced hadan average size about 75±3μm. Mixtures with 10, 20, 30 And 50weight percent of SiC were prepared. Physical characterization wasbased on density determinations. Microstructural analysis were basedOn pores, phase percentage, and particle distribution. These data wasrelated to mechanical behavior. Mechanical characterization was basedon elasticity modulus, strength, microhardness and Fractography ontensile specimens.
