At 16 216.1 and 16 178.3 cmminus;1are two sharp zero phonon transitions from the Jahnhyphen;Teller distorted2EgtoB3sol;2andE1sol;2, respectively, of the ground term2T2g. TwoEgphonons interacting with the ground term2T2ghave been found with the energies of 220 and 257 cmminus;1for interaction with the ground stateB3sol;2and of 219 and 256 cmminus;1for that with the first excited stateE1sol;2. TheEgphonon interacting with the excited2Egelectronic state has an energy of 160 plusmn; 10 cmminus;1. The Jahnhyphen;Teller stabilization energy of the2Egstate is estimated to be 3000 cmminus;1.
