摘要

Small capacity wood-fired boilers outnumber the big ones in India; but little attention has been given to determining the grate area required for steam generation at steady state condition at a particular dry saturated pressure and temperature. This paper describes the design methodology to determine the heating surface area of 1000 kg/hr horizontal multi tubular boilers at different working pressures. A correlation between the working pressure and the heating surface area is presented.
