The adsorption of oxygen on a reduced SrTiO3(111) surface occurs in two distinct phases. At low exposures (less than 1 L), the adsorption leads to the incorporation of O=ions into the vacant lattice oxygen sites. At higher exposures a second different oxygen species adsorbs.
