Original algorithm for evaluating the reliability of beam and beam-plate reinforced concrete bridges taking into account chloride corrosion of the reinforcement, random nature of parameters describing the corrosion process as well as geometrical parameters of the cross-section, is presented. Global and local models of corrosion (uniform corrosion, non-uniform corrosion and in-depth corrosion) have been considered. An original algorithm based on joint probability distributions has been elaborated for computing the probability distribution of the corrosion initiation time. The theoretical considerations have been illustrated by a numerical example.
