Effect of pre-sowing treatments on germination and initial seedling growth of Albizia lebbeck in terai zone of West Bengal.

An experiment in West Bengal, India, consisting of 13 pre-sowing treatments were analysed to study the effect of pre-sowing treatments on the germination and initial seedling growth of Albizia lebbeck. It was found that seeds pre-treated with four minute boiling water followed by 4-h cold water dip gave significantly better germination and initial seedling growth than other pre-sowing treatments.
