Dynamics of stiff polymer chains. IV. High frequency viscosity limit

The limiting high frequency intrinsic viscosity lsqb;eegr;rsqb;infin;has been calculated for several models of a freely rotating chain, with and without hydrodynamic interaction. The calculated values of lsqb;eegr;rsqb;infin;lie far below the experimental values. This indicates that the dominant contribution to lsqb;eegr;rsqb;infin;does not originate in bond tensions.
