The NMR analog of the Cottonndash;Mouton effect has been employed to determine the anisotropy and asymmetry in the magnetic susceptibility and the angular correlation factorsg2of pyridine, aniline, fluorobenzene, chlorobenzene, and bromobenzene. Results are discussed in comparison with data obtained by microwave spectroscopy, the Cottonndash;Mouton effect, and Rayleigh scattering.
