Translational component of the interactionhyphen;induced dipole correlation functions in dense fluids

The correlation functions associated with the translational motion of a dipole induced by the permanent multipoles of an orderl=1,2,3,... in dense media have been calculated analytically assuming the isotropic diffusion mechanism. The reflecting wall boundary condition at the distance of the closest approach of two molecules has been taken into account. The translational correlation functions obtained from this model have been compared with the results of molecular dynamics simulations in liquids N2and CS2, and good agreement has been obtained.
