Lowhyphen;Energy Neutron Scattering from Hydrogen Chloride

摘要

Measured double differential cross sections are reported for lowhyphen;energy neutron scattering by gaseous hydrogen chloride. Comparison of these data against a calculation based on a quantum mechanical treatment of rotations shows excellent agreement and thus provides the first experimental verification of this theory for the class of molecules with linear symmetry.
