摘要

Electronics is destined to play the strategic role in every aspect of automotive technology in the coming years. By the end of this decade, our cars' electronic systems will be supervising and controlling mission-critical functions, such as braking and steering. Before then, in-vehicle 'infotainment' will not only become sophisticated and versatile enough to rival home entertainment in user experience, but it will be easier to use. As streaming multimedia makes its way out of the home and into the car, the single most important aspect of the electronic revolution will become evident - consumers' decisions about what they buy will increasingly be based on features delivered by electronic systems and the chips that power them.
