摘要

In wetland ecosystems a considerable part of the organic material production is formed by emergent macrophytes, which play an important part in the detritus food chain (Wetzel 1981). Litter decay is an important component of the nutrient cycling process, and the investigation of its decomposition is an important aspect of the analysis of ecosystem function. The aim of this study was to evaluate the decomposition dynamics of Typha angustifolia (L.). Changes in dry mass remaining, microbial activity (based on the electron transport activity: ETS), number of cellulolitic bacteria, fungal biomass (ergos-terol concentrations) were studied during decomposition.
